2019 Season sumary

Another year has passed by and again I have to apologize for the very slow update rate on this page.
The RF 85 still rests just as it was left last year. The new garage is finished, More and more time is devoted to Theo and his karting.

The 911 has been overhauled and serviced after it's long time in hibernation

Theos karting

The season started in february to test the J60 at Kristianstad he really apriciated the greater speed of the J60 engine compared to the Raket 95 that he must use in the Micro class he races in.

However the J60 will have to wait until 2021. 2019 was a learning year to get up to speed and then 2020 will be a year to challange for some wins with the Micro.

The season have had its ups and downs. Theo has shown very good pace in wet conditions and have also been able to avoid most of the multitude of crashes seen in this class.
First race was Klippan Cup wich have always been the unofficial start of the racing season. The pace was good but we still have a lot to learn about karting.

He finished 10th out of 19.

The rest of the season he managed to finish top 15 in most of the races with only one DNF.
His first win came at his home track Borås after some very stable driving in the wet conditions.

Gothenburg was another track that showed some success with a 2nd a 4th place.

At the end of the season he managed a 7th in the final race at Kristianstads "Grande Final" where we finally found some good speed from the Raket 95 engine. Now he could finally keep up and challange the others at the end of the main straight.

He did some races at Jönköping and Skövde where he finished mid field in fierce competition.

To summarize the season, we got some good speed of the engine at the end and Theo has learned a lot during the races. His strenghts beeing starts and wet conditions.
He finished 4th in KCV (Kart Cup West) and 3rd in SBF West KM.

My Lotus Racing 2019
My first race was at Mantorp. Kinnekulle and Velodromloppet clashed with Theos karting and Knutstorp clashed with work.

Mantorp Classic Festival
This year we had a 4 car team. My Lotus 61, Attes Hawke DL2 and Van Diemen RF85 driven by Gunnar and last but not least Petters Focus Formula Junior
I finished 6th in the first heat and 7th overall in the 2nd heat, and both 1st in class.

Falkenberg Classic
This was the season finale and i finished 3rd and 4th overall. Despite just doing 2 weekends I was 2nd in class overall 2019 in Kategory G for FF1600 1968-71
