The winter of 1994-95 I restored this  Austin Cooper wich I and Daniel Magnusson would use for 4 seasons
in Fia Historic Touring Car Championchip

This was what I started with a rather tatty 850 hydrolastic body

A lot of rust where found. Rear suspension pickup points where replaced.


The front floor panels where also replaced, this was before the whole floor pans where available.

The sills and A-posts where also replaced.

Test fitting of catch tank and roll bar.

The car is back from sand blasting and etch primer wich where done without front fenders and outer sill panels

Preparation for paint

The interior is painted and is masked before the outside recieve is paint

The car is back from the paintshop in its new coulours, BMC Glacier white and my trademark Opel 228 blue.

It´s always nice to start the reassembly.

Electrics go in all capsuled in heatshrink

The final instalattion of the catch tank in the RF wheel well.


The instrument cluster reworked to house a Rev counter and a Copoper 'S' 200 Km/h speedo.


The car is ready to go to the Gothenburg Motor Show in february where it was displayed at the Söderqvist Racing stand

After the show instalation of chassis components followed.

The body/chassies is ready to recieve the power plant wich Daniel assembled.

Hans Edvinsson, Tommy Brorsson and Ola Johansson. Doc and Fritz where changing their engine again, I believed that they runied 3 gerboxes that weekend.
